Patrina Williams

Patrina Williams, 58, of Vallejo, CA, beloved wife, sister, friend, niece, aunt, and Godmother, passed away suddenly while on a walk with a colleague. Patrina was born to Horace Williams and Ferbian (Hargrove) Williams in Brooklyn, New York on August 18, 1965. She attended William Floyd High School, where she was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame, and Stony Brook University, where she studied psychology and theater lighting design. Through her work as a case manager, Patrina empowered countless people to find a way through their darkest moments. Patrina was unapologetically quirky, joyful, funny, and wise. At any moment you could find her playing basketball, earning a black belt in Zen sword, practicing archery, or brewing mead in the storage room. She loved with a fierce loyalty that was both disarming and inspiring and she was the favorite adult in the children's’ lives she touched. Patrina was uncompromising in her defense of underdogs and the people she loved, and genuinely open to spirituality in every form. She was the first to sit with you in the difficult times, holding you without trying to make you feel better, calling you out with cutting compassion, and helping you see the lesson and beauty inside of heartache. Patrina was the youngest of five children; her parents and brothers, David, Mark, and Kenneth Williams, preceded her in death. Patrina leaves behind her wife, Jessica Frasure-Williams, her brother, Keith (Patricia Ann) Williams, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and countless cousins. Patrina’s wishes were to be cremated and her ashes spread in a beautiful place by the water.
