Florentina Eugenio passed away peacefully after a tough battle with pancreatic cancer on May 17, 2023 with her loving family by her side. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and her absence leaves an irreplaceable void in our lives. Florentina or Flor to many, was born to the late Ricardo and Felicisima Pascual, on June 20, 1951, in the town of Angat, Bulacan in the Philippines. Flor grew up in a nurturing home filled with love and compassion. She graduated from Franklin D. Roosevelt High School and later received a Secretarial Degree from Baliwag Junior College. Shortly after, she met and married her soulmate and together built a family they can be proud of. During the early 1970s, she worked as a pioneer transcriber for the Philippine Daily Express, one of the major newspapers during that time. After 15 years of being a career woman, she went on to dedicate herself to her family, cherishing her role as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her warmth and devotion knew no bounds as she selflessly gave her time and energy to ensure her loved ones were always cared for. Beyond her role as a mother, she was a pillar of strength within her community. Her compassionate nature and willingness to lend a helping hand touched the lives of many. She dedicated her time and efforts to various charitable causes, making a positive difference in the lives of those less fortunate. She was an active member of Mother Butler Guild ( MBG) in Sto. Nino Parish at Bustos, Bulacan where she served within the mission to provide for the requirements during Holy Masses including altar equipment and altar linen and vestments. Consequently, as a catholic lay woman belonging in Catholic Women's League ( CWL) , she participated in providing spiritual formation, bible studies, catechetical instructions for public elementary school children and vocation support. Her social and spiritual work did not stop there, she and her husband joined the Marriage Encounter (ME) program to deepen and enrich the joys of their relationship with each other and with God. They both have served to become speakers, mentors and an example to other couples in the community. In her leisure time, Flor found solace in her hobbies and interests. She had a deep appreciation for nature and enjoyed gardening, spending hours tending to her beautiful orchids and plants. She possessed a creative soul and expressed herself through painting, bringing beauty to life on canvas. Flor found immense joy and fulfillment in these moments of personal reflection. Flor will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, strength, and her unwavering faith. Her genuine concern for others and her ability to find the good in every situation will forever serve as an example to us all. Flor is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Rafael, with whom she shared countless cherished memories. She will forever remain in the hearts of her three children, Jasmine, Odette, and Yvette; their families; her grandchildren Michael and Madison, whom were a source of immense joy and pride for her, and will forever be inspired by her love and guidance. She is also survived by her siblings Reynaldo and Eduardo and their families. Flor will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will continue to inspire us all. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to those whose lives she touched. Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day.
