Francisca Mendiola Cruz Kissinger September 27, 1929 – November 15, 2024 Of Sacramento, California was called home by Our Heavenly Father at the Age of 95 Frances now joins her family among the communion of saints in heaven Grandparents: Benigno & Consolation Mendiola, Juan & Maria Cruz. Parents: Paterno Manibusan Cruz, Maria Franquez Mendiola In 95 years, Frances was wife, mother, co-worker, educator, student, Third Order Secular Franciscan, volunteer and more. Born in Guam September 27, 1929, Frances lost her mother early after her birth and later suffered the trials and tribulations of foreign occupation during WW II. In marriage she came to the United States living her entire life in California. Frances always sought to improve herself by hard work and continuous education, but it was her religious training early in life that made hard work and education examples of sacrifice that would save her children. It is said that the depth of a person’s life is measured not by their accomplishments - but by their sacrifice. Frances lived for and sacrificed for her children; that her children would have a better life than the generation of her time. Not so much better in terms of worldly pride and possession, but in terms of moral happiness. Frances taught her boys that moral happiness is more than making morally right decisions, but by living in such a way that passes on to others, what was first passed on to them. Frances passed onto her children the necessity of faith and the pursuit of education. Her love and memories will forever remain with the hearts of her three Sons and Spouses; Errol & Julie Kissinger; Anthony & Terry Kissinger, and Mark & Jeanette Kissinger. Grandchildren: Alexis Rodrigues (James), Erica Winterburn (Joshua), Alexander Kissinger, Nicholas Kissinger, Nathan Kissinger and Naomi Kissinger. Great Grandchildren: Raquel Winterburn, Ethan Winterburn, Eric Rodrigues and Evan Rodrigues. Special thanks and blessings to Adya Hospice for their care and compassion. Viewing (3:00 PM -5:00 PM) and Vigil (5:00 PM-7:00 PM) will be held on November 25th at St. Basil Catholic Church (1200 Tuolumne St., Vallejo). The Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Basil Church on Tuesday, November 26 the at 10:00 AM. Internment will immediately follow at All Souls Cemetery (550 Glen Cove Rd., Vallejo).
